PEDIATRIC SERVICES

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine dealing with the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18. Doctors who look at specific health issues, diseases and disorders related to children are known as a pediatrician.

VSHL is providing comprehensive and good-natured medical care to children. We are experienced in caring for the special health needs of children, from treating minor injuries and illnesses, to chronic diseases and developmental issues.

VSHL has a team of experienced and knowledgeable general pediatricians. We provide warm, caring and high quality comprehensive primary care services to infants, children and adolescents.

We believe that routine check-ups, starting at two weeks of age and continuing throughout the teen years, are vitally important. Our pediatricians perform the following primary care services:

• Well-child care (routine checkups)
• Newborn intensive care (neonatology) for problems related to premature birth, birth defects and other medical conditions
• Immunizations
• Diagnosis and treatment of acute (sudden) illness or injury
• Treatment of chronic and recurrent health conditions
• Infectious disease consultation for children and adolescents
